About

The vorpal bunny is referred to as the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog in the Monty Python series. It is also a featured enemy in Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness and, as I found out upon doing a little reading while creating this blog, in numerous videogames. Quest for Glory remains one of my favorite gaming series, so the idea was always to pull a reference from that.

Originally, this blog started over at Blogger in 2008. The name was a mistake, to be honest. I’d intended to call it Vorpal Bunny Colony. The mistake seemed apt once I discussed it with a friend, who informed me of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch (a brothel). As someone who has participated in events related to SWOP (Sex Workers Outreach Project) and raised in a very sex-positive family, this seemed all too apt–particularly as I had plans to talk about sexuality and the use of sex.

This blog is where I collect my thoughts on games. I also write at The Border House and GayGamer, but every so often, something I write just doesn’t seem to fit there, and therefore it ends up here. It’s also a place to connect all my work.

As for myself? I’ve been a lifelong gamer. As soon as I could read, my parents enlisted me in their D&D campaigns. By the time I was five we had two computers in the house, which informs my being primarily a PC gamer. The NES would join our household the same year as the computers. My mother has always been the more tech-savvy of my parents, and it is because of her that I feel the need to speak out as often as I can about issues regarding feminism; considering my own identification as queer in both gender and sexuality, this then informs my interest in intersectionality.
